Instructions

  1. Prepare Cheese Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella, ricotta, eggs, garlic powder, salt, and cracked black pepper. Mix thoroughly and set aside for layering.
  2. Make the Sauce: In a medium pot over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the flour and whisk continuously for about one minute to cook out the raw flour taste.
  3. Add Liquids and Thicken: Gradually whisk in the chicken broth followed by the heavy cream, maintaining constant whisking to avoid lumps. Bring to a gentle simmer, stirring frequently until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat and whisk in the cream cheese until smooth. Set aside.
  4. Preheat Oven and Prepare Dish: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking casserole dish to prevent sticking.
  5. Assemble First Layer: Spread a thin layer of the prepared sauce on the bottom of the casserole dish. Arrange a layer of cooked lasagna noodles on top, followed by half of the cheese mixture. Evenly sprinkle half of the cubed ham, chopped chicken, and bacon over the cheese mixture. Drizzle one-third of the sauce evenly over the top.
  6. Repeat Layers: Repeat the layering process with noodles, remaining cheese mixture, ham, chicken, and bacon, then add one more layer of noodles. Pour the rest of the sauce over this final noodle layer.
  7. Top and Cover: Sprinkle the remaining shredded mozzarella cheese and additional bacon over the top. Cover the dish with foil, and bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes.
  8. Finish Baking: Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 to 10 minutes to allow the cheese on top to brown and become bubbly.
  9. Rest and Serve: Allow the lasagna to sit for 15 minutes after removing from the oven to set. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired, then slice and serve warm.
