Ingredients
Scale
Marshmallow Filling
- 1 package of large marshmallows
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Batter and Coating
- 1 cup pancake batter, prepared according to package instructions
- 1 package graham crackers, crushed into crumbs
Frying
- Oil for frying (vegetable or canola oil recommended)
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Prepare the Oil. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C), ensuring enough oil to fully submerge the marshmallows for even frying.
- Stuff the Marshmallows. Insert a chocolate chip into the center of each large marshmallow to create a gooey surprise inside.
- Coat with Batter. Dip each stuffed marshmallow into the prepared pancake batter, making sure it is fully and evenly coated for a crispy outer shell.
- Roll in Graham Crackers. Gently roll the batter-coated marshmallows in the crushed graham cracker crumbs so they stick to the batter for added texture and flavor.
- Fry to Golden Brown. Carefully lower the coated marshmallows into the hot oil and fry for about 2 minutes, turning if necessary, until they become golden brown and crispy.
- Drain Excess Oil. Remove the fried s’mores bombs with a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil and maintain crispness.
- Serve Warm. Dust the warm fried s’mores bombs with powdered sugar and serve immediately for the best gooey, crunchy experience.
Notes
- Be careful when frying as hot oil can splash; use a deep pot and monitor temperature closely.
- Serve immediately to enjoy the gooey melted chocolate and marshmallow center.
- To crush graham crackers quickly, place them in a sealed bag and crush with a rolling pin.
- You can use any chocolate chips like milk, dark, or even mini peanut butter chips for a different flavor twist.
