Ingredients
Scale
Ingredients
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 (16 oz) bag mini marshmallows
- 1 (11.5 oz) box Lucky Charms cereal
Instructions
- Grease Pan: Grease a 9×13 inch pan with cooking spray (or use two 8×8 inch pans for thicker bars) and set aside.
- Melt Butter: In a large stockpot over low heat, melt the unsalted butter slowly to prevent burning.
- Add Salt and Marshmallows: Sprinkle in the salt and mini marshmallows, stirring constantly until the marshmallows are completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Mix in Cereal: Remove the pot from heat. Gently fold in the Lucky Charms cereal, being careful not to crush the cereal pieces to maintain their crunch.
- Press into Pan: Pour the marshmallow mixture into the prepared pan(s) and gently press it into an even layer. Avoid pressing too hard to keep the treats soft and gooey.
- Cool and Cut: Allow the mixture to cool completely at room temperature before cutting into squares for serving.
Notes
- For thicker bars, use two 8×8 inch pans instead of one 9×13 inch pan.
- Do not press the mixture too hard into the pan or the treats will become hard instead of chewy.
- Store the bars at room temperature for up to 5 days.
- These treats can be frozen for up to 2 months in an airtight container.
- Refrigeration and reheating are not recommended as they affect texture.
