Instructions

  1. Cream the Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, beat the room temperature butter and powdered sugar together until the mixture turns light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes; this aerates the mixture and gives the cookies a soft texture.
  2. Incorporate Eggs and Milk: Add the eggs and milk to the butter-sugar mixture and beat until the batter is smooth and fully combined.
  3. Mix Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the flour and salt to the wet mixture while mixing on low speed to avoid a mess, ensuring the dough forms uniformly without overworking.
  4. Divide and Color the Dough: Divide the dough into three parts. Tint one portion with purple gel food coloring, another with black gel food coloring, and leave the final portion uncolored (white). Adjust shades as preferred.
