Ingredients
Scale
Cinnamon-Infused Simple Syrup
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup water
- 1 stick cinnamon
Peach Moscow Mule
- 2 oz. peach puree (from about ½ fresh peach)
- 3 oz. ginger beer
- 1 ½ oz. vodka
- ½ oz. freshly squeezed lime juice
- ½ oz. cinnamon simple syrup (from above)
- Ice for serving
Instructions
- Make the Cinnamon-Infused Simple Syrup: Measure out the water and sugar into a heavy-bottomed saucepan. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat. Add the cinnamon stick, cover, and let infuse for 30 minutes to 3 hours depending on your desired cinnamon strength. Strain the syrup through a fine sieve and pour into a mason jar. Refrigerate until ready to use.
- Prepare the Peach Puree: Blend half a fresh peach until smooth to create approximately 2 oz. of puree. If fresh peaches are unavailable, substitute with peach nectar or frozen/canned peaches without syrup.
- Mix the Cocktail: In a copper mug or preferred glass, combine the peach puree, ginger beer, vodka, freshly squeezed lime juice, and cinnamon simple syrup. Stir thoroughly with a cocktail spoon to blend the flavors.
- Serve: Add ice to the mug to chill the drink. Garnish as desired and serve immediately for best flavor.
Notes
- The cinnamon-infused simple syrup recipe yields enough syrup for about 8 Peach Moscow Mules.
- Peach nectar, frozen peaches, or canned peaches (without syrup) can be used as alternatives to fresh peaches.
- The cinnamon-infused simple syrup and peach puree can be made in advance to save time when entertaining.
- For larger gatherings, scale the recipe accordingly and consider preparing the cocktail as a pitcher drink.
- Use frozen peach slices instead of ice cubes to avoid diluting the drink over time during parties.
