Description

A refreshing and vibrant Pineapple Strawberry Agua Fresca Delight, perfect for a quick and healthy beverage. This naturally sweetened drink combines fresh pineapple and strawberries blended with water, lightly sweetened and finished with a hint of lime and fresh mint for a cooling, flavorful treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruits

  • 2 cups fresh pineapple, chopped
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved

Liquids and Sweeteners

  • 4 cups cold water
  • 1/4 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice (optional)

Garnish and Serving

  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a blender, combine the chopped pineapple, halved strawberries, and 2 cups of cold water. Blend until smooth and well combined.
  2. Strain the Mixture: Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a large pitcher to remove the pulp. Use a spatula to press down and extract as much liquid as possible. Then add the remaining 2 cups of cold water to the pitcher.
  3. Sweeten and Flavor: Stir in the sugar, adjusting the amount to your taste. If desired, add the lime juice for a hint of acidity. Continue stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  4. Serve: Refrigerate the agua fresca for at least 30 minutes to chill or serve immediately over ice. Pour into glasses over ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves or a slice of lime if desired.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar according to your preference.
  • The lime juice is optional but adds a nice tangy balance to the sweetness.
  • For a smoother texture, strain the mixture thoroughly to remove all pulp.
  • Serve chilled for the most refreshing experience.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
