Ingredients

Scale

Protein and Noodles

  • 2 chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz egg noodles

Sauce and Oils

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes (optional)

Vegetables and Garnish

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook Noodles: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the egg noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, and red chili flakes. Set aside.
  3. Cook Chicken: Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the sliced chicken breasts and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add Garlic: Add minced garlic to the pan and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.
  5. Add Vegetables: Toss in the broccoli florets and bell pepper slices. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  6. Combine Ingredients: Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and vegetables. Stir well to coat everything evenly. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Add Noodles: Add the cooked noodles to the pan. Toss everything together until the noodles are thoroughly coated with the sauce.
  8. Finish with Sesame Oil: Drizzle sesame oil over the noodles and give everything one last toss.
  9. Garnish: Remove from heat and sprinkle chopped green onions and sesame seeds on top before serving.

Notes

  • Use fresh garlic and vegetables for the best flavor.
  • If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of water or chicken broth to adjust consistency.
  • Substitute chicken with shrimp, beef, or tofu for variation.
  • Add chopped peanuts or cashews for extra crunch and flavor.
  • For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free soy sauce and noodles.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Freeze cooked noodles for up to one month; thaw overnight and reheat gently.
