  • 50g of dairy-free butter (softened)

Filling

  • 1 pack of regular Oreo cookies, approximately 160g (mini Oreos can be used)

Topping (Optional)

  • Additional crumbled Oreo cookies
  • Melted dairy-free white chocolate for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C fan (approximately 356°F) and line two large baking trays with greaseproof paper to prevent sticking.
  2. Prepare Puff Pastry: Unroll the vegan puff pastry sheet, keeping the baking paper underneath. Use a rolling pin to gently flatten any wrinkles and lightly dust with flour if the pastry feels sticky.
  3. Make Oreo Paste: Place the Oreo cookies into a small food processor or blender and blitz until finely ground. Add the softened dairy-free butter and mix until it forms a smooth, paste-like consistency.
  4. Assemble Parcel: Spread the Oreo butter paste evenly over one half of the pastry sheet, covering the corners completely. Carefully lift the plain side of the pastry and fold it over the filling to create a folded parcel.
  5. Cut and Shape Swirls: Using a sharp knife or a pizza cutter, slice the pastry parcel into strips of your desired width. Twist each strip gently, then roll each twisted strip into a spiral swirl shape.
  6. Arrange on Tray: Place the swirls on the prepared baking trays, spacing them at least three inches apart to allow for the pastry to puff and expand during baking.
  7. Brush with Dairy-Free Milk: Lightly brush the tops and sides of each swirl with dairy-free milk. This step encourages an attractive golden color and a flaky texture.
  8. Optional Topping: Sprinkle extra crumbled Oreo cookies on top of each swirl to add extra texture and flavor, if desired.
